Boy A Andrew Garfield was incredible in this ‘break out’ role as a young man recently released from jail for committing a murder as young child. I am speechless trying to write a decent review for this film. I am so utterly shaken up, and my mind is racing. Rehabilitation and second chances are absolutely challenged in this film, and.. just.. there is a reason I’m not a film critic. Watch this movie. It will move you in ways you’ve never been moved. Hands down my favorite film I’ve seen in a long, long, long time.

The BBC reports that the famous impressionist and Gauguin, got into a brawl, and the Tahiti inspired painter cut off Van Gogh’s ear with a sword.

Van Gogh was such a good pal. He agreed to tell everyone he was crazy and cut off his own ear in order to save Gauguin’s reputation/soul/whatever. Man, friends just don’t make the grade these days. How many of your friends would tell that lie for you?!

Yeah.. pretty damn excited. This was one of my favorite novels in the series, and everyone looks so damn cheeky. Love it.

“If we started a movie on the day you were born, and stretched it over your lifespan, this is where you’d be in that movie. So if you’re a teenager, you might see Luke arguing with Uncle Owen, or Cameron making a phony phone call to Ed Rooney. If you’re a retiree, you might see the Marshmallow Man, or Toto pulling away the curtain. And if you’re in your mid-thirties, you might be relieved to know that Ferris is still eating lunch, and the Millenium Falcon hasn’t left Tatooine.”

Plug in your birthday, when you’re going to die (I chose the average death age of female Canadians: 82.6), and pick a film.

Apparently I’m about to meet, or just met The Lollipop Guild. This is excellent; they were my favorite munchkins.
